Blues great Buddy Guy stopped in Austin on May 17, 2018, for a show at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater. Guy was joined on stage by the Damn Right Blues Band.
Buddy Guy is considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time and a pioneer in the Chicago Blues scene. He released his first solo album in 1967. Over time, Guy has released 17 solo albums and 16 duet albums.
Buddy Guy has earned 7 Grammy Awards and multiple other awards from many organizations during his illustrious career. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
Jonny Lang
Opening for Buddy Guy was blues, gospel, and rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist Jonny Lang. Lang, who began playing guitar at age 12, has released 8 albums. He earned a Grammy Award in 2007 for the Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album for "Turn Around."
