Live Music and Events Are Making a Comeback In ATX...Finally

It's been a while since I have posted on here for Limelight Imaging. Life and a crazy pandemic definitely have gotten in the way. But we are finally, slowly getting back into the grove of live events happening here in ATX, so I thought I better get started sharing some of Scott's awesome photos once again.

Spoon - July 1, 2021

First on the ticket was a sold out pop-up concert at The Mohawk on July 1, 2021 headlined by Austin's own, Spoon. The indie rock band is fronted by founding member vocalist/guitarist Britt Daniel. Co-founding member drummer Jim Eno, keyboardist/guitarist Alex Fischel, guitarist/keyboardist Gerardo Larios, and bassist Ben Trokan round out the group.

The concert took place at The Mohawk, an outdoor venue in the Red River Cultural District in downtown Austin. Spoon's 75-minute set was filled with music from every one of their albums since 2001, including "My Mathematical Mind," "Don't You Evah," and "Inside Out."

Opening for Spoon was another local artist, indie-rocker Walker Lukens. Lukens performed a half-hour set covering songs from his latest release, Red Headed Stranger, an album of Willie Nelson covers.

Austin Taco and Margarita Festival - July 24, 2021

On July 24, Austin celebrated three things everyone loves about our fair city - Tacos, Margaritas and Live Music with a festival at ACL Live and its "little sister" venue, 3Ten.

Local vendors provided the refreshments with samplings of tasty tacos and refreshing margaritas while musical acts traded out performing on the two venues stages.

Entertaining the crowds were Tristan Cole, Donnie Lee Strickland with Shane Thornton, Payton Howie, The Watters, and Bri Bagwell.
