Buddy Guy Tapes for New Season of Austin City Limits

Not a stranger to our fair city, legendary blues great Buddy Guy once again graced an Austin stage, this time on September 17, 2018, when Guy taped a spectacular performance to be aired during Season 44 of the renowned PBS television series Austin City Limits. Austin City Limits set Buddy Guy and the Damn Right Blues Band Buddy Guy Buddy Guy has been performing since the early 1950s. He released his first solo album in 1967. His 18th solo album,  The Blues is Alive and Well,  was released in June 2018. Guy, a pioneer in the Chicago blues scene, has earned 7 Grammy Awards and 34 Blues Music Awards along with numerous other awards during his distinguished career. Buddy Guy was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. Guitar legend Jeff Beck stopped by ACL Live at the Moody Theater on July 26, 2018 for a show. He is on tour the Stars Align Tour, but took time for a solo gig here in Austin. Barry Manilow Serenades Fans In San Antonio During Last Tour

Grammy Award-winning, Songwriter's Hall of Fame inductee, and multi-platinum selling recording artist Barry Manilow thrilled his Central and South Texas fans when he stopped by the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas on April 13, 2016. Manilow is touring the world as part of his One Last Time! The Final Tour! . Manilow first became popular as a solo artist in the mid 1970's, although he was writing musical scores and commercial jingles prior to then.  After all these years of touring, Manilow has become really good at making an entrance. That was evident when the red velvet curtains rose and Barry was found center stage silhouetted by one spotlight beaming behind him.  As the lights rose, the audience found Manilow grinning from ear to ear, obviously thrilled at the exuberant response from his loyal fan base present for the show.
