The Turnpike Troubadours stopped by Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater on November 30, 2018, for night-one of two nights of sold-out performances.  The Americana, folk rock, country band from Oklahoma was formed in 2007. They have released 5 albums including their 2015 self-titled album that hit number 17 on the Billboard 200 chart and their 5th album, "A Long Way From Your Heart," which was released in October 2017. Folk-rock icon Gordon Lightfoot stopped by Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater on May 8, 2018.  The legendary singer-songwriter and musician is celebrating 50 years hit song making with a cross-country tour entitled "Gordon Lightfoot - 50 Years on the Carefree Highway." Lightfoot has released 21 albums and written many hit songs and achieved gold and platinum status internationally. His songs have been recorded by artists like Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Judy Collins, Barbra Streisand, and many more.  The 79 year old Canadian is still sounding great and performing his songs to fans of all ages. Over the years Lightfoot has received many awards including 16 Juno awards, 4 ASCAP awards for songwriting, and has been nominated for five Grammy Awards. Folk-rock powerhouse Brandi Carlile stopped by Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater on April 29, 2017 as part of The Story Tour: An Acoustic Evening with Brandi Carlile. Carlile is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her breakout album, The Story . For this appearance, Carlile and her band played an acoustic version of  The Story in its entirety, from beginning to end for the first set of the show. For the second part of the evening, Carlile performed selections from her other albums, covers, and even a new song. Carlile's band includes long-time members, twin brothers Phil and Tim Hanseroth.
