SXSW Film Premiers


South By Southwest started in 1987 as a music festival  and seminar in Austin, Texas. In 1994 SXSW added a film and media component to the event. In 2019, SXSW is a conglomeration of film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences lasting 10 days, March 8 through March 17.

Limelight Imaging was honored to cover the red carpet arrivals for some of the film participants in this year's festival.

Good Omens is an Amazon Prime series based on the novel Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, *Witch by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.  Walking the red carpet for this showing was Actor David Tennant, Actor Michael Sheen, Actor Jon Hamm, Director and Executive Producer Douglas MacKinnon, and Executive Producer Neil Gaiman.

Sword Of Trust
March 11, 2019 - Paramount Theater

Sword of Trust was a feature film making its world premiere at SXSW. It tells the story of a pawnshop owner and a couple trying to cash in on a family heirloom: a sword thought to prove that the South won the Civil War. Walking the red carpet were actors Jon Bass, Marc Maron, Tim Paul, Michaela Watkins,  Jillian Bell, Whitmer Thomas, Toby Huss, Al Elliott, Elise Mayfield, and Ben Keepers, as well as Producer Ted Speaker, Associate Producer Virginia Newcomb and Writer/Director/Producer Lynn Shelton.

Celebrating its U.S. Premiere at SXSW, Teen Spirit is a documentary style film from the UK that tells the story of a teenager who enters an international singing competition. Noname Raps at Emo's


Rapper and poet Noname stopped by Emo's in Austin, Texas on February 27, 2019, as part of her Room 25 tour.

Fatima Nyeema Warner, aka Noname, is a rapper and slam poet artist from Chicago.  Noname quickly came into prominence in 2013 after her appearanced on Chance The Rappers popular mixtape Acid Rap. She released her debut mixtape Telefone in 2016 and followed it with her debut album Room 25 in 2018. Room 25 was one of 2018's most talked about hip-hop albums.
