Shane Smith and the Saints brought their style of country to ACL Live at the Moody Theater on August 27, 2021. Based in Austin, Texas, the band plays a combination of Texas Country and Red Dirt.

Band members include Shane Smith -lead singer and guitar, Bennett Brown - fiddle, Dustin Schaefer - lead guitar, Zach Stover - drums, and Chase Satterwhite - bass.

Shane Smith and the Saints have released three albums over 10 years of performing together. Their latest LP "Holy Mary" was released on June 28th.

Jonathan Terrell

Opening the evening was Jonathan Terrell. Terrell is an Austin based singer-songwriter who started in 2006 in Austin as a country and folk songwriter. His latest album, Westward, was released in 2020. After his set, Terrell joined Shane Smith and the Saints on harmonica.

Outlaw Music Festival 2021 Kicks Off Tour In Austin

Country music fans were thrilled when the Outlaw Music Fest chose Austin as its first tour stop on August 22, 2021. The festival took place at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater at the Circuit of the Americas racetrack. The Outlaw Music Fest has a rotating lineup of excellent country acts with Willie Nelson and Family headlining each stop. In addition to Willie and Family, for this first stop, fans were treated to music from Chris Stapleton, Ryan Bingham, and Yola. Sadly, due to shooting restrictions, we are not able to share photos of Willie and Family here with you, but we do have some great shots of Chris Stapleton, Ryan Bingham, and Yola.

Metal Tour of The Year Festival

The Metal Tour of the Year stormed into Austin's Germania Insurance Amphitheater at the Circuit of the Americas on August 20, 2021 for the first stop on their North American tour. The tour featured Megadeath and Lamb of God with special guests Trivium and Hatebreed.

Megadeath is a multi-award winning American heavy metal band formed in 1983 by vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson. Ellefson parted ways with the band earlier this year. Joining Mustaine on this tour is Kiko Loureiro on guitars, backing vocals and piano; Dirk Verbeuren on drums; and James LoMenzo on bass.
