Guitar Greats Present Generation Axe
On December 14, 2018, Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater saw some of rock music's greatest guitar talents join forces for the Generation Axe US Tour. Generation Axe Generation Axe Generation Axe is a rock/heavy metal super-group formed in 2016 by Steve Vai. The group is made up of five internationally renowned, extremely talented guitarists: Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettencourt, and Tosin Abasi. They perform songs from their catalogs, as well as some well-known songs from other rock musicians. Steve Vai Guitar virtuoso, composer, singer, songwriter, and producer Steve Vai released his first solo album in 1984. Prior to that, Vai worked as the guitarist for Frank Zappa in 1980. Vai has earned 3 Grammy Awards and 15 nominations. He is considered one of the Top 10 greatest guitarists and has sold over 15 million records.
