REO Speedwagon
REO Speedwagon was formed in 1967 when keyboardist Neal Doughty and college friends Alan Gratzer, Mike Blair and Joe Matt started to jam together in the dorms at University of Illnois. The band was named after a flat bed truck Doughty studied in school.

The lineup for REO Speedwagon has changed quite a few times over the 50 years since it was formed, except for one constant - keyboardist Neal Doughty. He is still rocking along on the keys and piano on each of the bands songs. Neal is joined by long-time bassist Bruce Hall who joined the band in 1978 and lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Kevin Cronin who joined in 1972.

The newer members of REO have still been with the band longer than most bands now days even exist. Lead guitarist, vocalist Dave Amato joined REO in 1989 and drummer Bryan Hitt joined in 1990.

Styx
Styx was formed in 1972. Brothers Chuck and John Panozzo and friend Dennis DeYoung originally founded the band Trade winds and then TW4 before changing the name to Styx in 1972.
Styx has released 16 studio albums including 4 consecutive albums which were certified Multi-Platinum.

Although the lineup for Styx has changed some over their extensive career, several of the members have seen long careers with the band. Founding member Chuck Panozzo still performs with the band on occasion, playing bass and singing backing vocals on some selections. James "J.Y." Young, who joined the band in 1970 before the name change to Styx, plays guitar and sings lead and backing vocals.

Guitarist and lead vocalist Tommy Shaw originally joined the band in 1975 and performed with them through 1984. After a break for the band and Shaw, he rejoined in 1995 and continues to rock each performance.

Drummer, percussionist Todd Sucherman joined Styx in 1995 for their comeback to the music world. Keyboardist and vocalist Lawrence Gowan joined the band in 1999 after the departure of longtime frontman Dennis DeYoung. The newest member of the group is bassist, guitarist Ricky Phillips who joined in 2003.

Don Felder
Opening the evening was Don Felder. Don is a musician and songwriter best know for his work as lead guitarist for the legendary band, the Eagles. Felder co-wrote several songs for the Eagles including what might be their mot famous of all time, "Hotel California." Felder performed with the Eagles from 1974 until 2001 when he left the band after a dispute with some of its members.

Since then Felder has been on the road as a solo act. In 2016 he was inducted into the Musician's Hall of Fame.
