Metal Rocks Austin 360 Amphitheater

The sound of hard-core metal music exploded through the night sky in Austin on September 2, 2015, as the Summer's Last Stand Tour featuring Slipknot, Lamb of God, and Bullet For My Valentine rocked the Austin 360 Amphitheater at Circuit of the Americas.

In what some have described as "controlled chaos," Slipknot entertained the crowd with their brand of high-energy metal while donning their signature clown and horror themed masks. As the 2006 Grammy Award Winner for Best Metal Performance, Slipknot is fronted by lead singer Corey Taylor. Joining Taylor on stage were Shawn Crahan and Chris Fehn on custom percussion and backing vocals, Mick Thomson and Jim Root on guitar, Craig Jones on keyboard, Sid Wilson on turntables, Alessandro Venturella on bass, and Jay Weinberg on drums.

Joining Slipknot on this tour was Lamb of God. The Grammy-nominated metal band was founded in 1994 and consists of lead vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell, and drummer Chris Adler.

Also appearing on this tour was the Welsh heavy metal band Bullet For My Valentine. Band members for Bullet For My Valentine include lead vocalist Matthew Tuck, guitarist Michael Paget,
bassist Jamie Mathias, and drummer Michael Thomas.

Opening the night was Motionless In White. MIW's members include lead vocalist Chris "Motionless" Cerulli, bassist, Devin "Ghost" Sola, guitarists Ryan Sitkowski and Ricky "Horror" Olson, keyboardist Josh Balz, and drummer Vinny Mauro.
