On this night, the 82 year old Guy wore one of his signature polkadot shirts. That was not the only bold move Guy made. While most artists spend hours of time rehearsing and planning for their performance on such a prestigious show, Guy chose to perform without a setlist. He even told the audience, "Whatever you see tonight, I didn't rehearse it." But even with this knowledge, it was impossible to see or hear any flaws in this incredible show. Guy transitioned from one stellar piece of music to the next, playing selections from his own catalog as well as numbers written and performed by other blues icons he has had the great fortune to work with. And just as those older musicians help him, Buddy Guy also helps up and coming blues artists. His latest protege is 19 yr old Quinn Sullivan. Quinn, who opened for Guy's tour last year, joined Guy and the band for the second half of the show.
