Eric Clapton
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Eric Clapton stopped by the Frank Erwin Center at the University of Texas at Austin as part of his North American tour before embarking on the European leg of his tour. The eight tour stops for North America included three in Texas, and several other states across the Southern U.S. before concluding in Florida.

Opening for Eric Clapton on this tour was Austin's own blues rock guitarist/vocalist Jimmie Vaughan. Jimmie, a phenomenal guitarist is his own right, is the older brother of the late guitar legend Stevie Ray Vaughan.
