A concert celebrating KUT and KUTX radio host John Aielli's took place on March 7, 2017, at Hogg Memorial Auditorium on the University of Texas campus. The iconic host has been a fixture on Austin's public radio station for an unprecedented 50 years. Aielli currently hosts "Eklektikos" from 7 to 9 a.m. Monday through Thursday on 98.9 KUTX-FM.

The concert was emceed by "Greater Tuna's" Jaston Williams and featured six of Austin's most popular local musicians: Bob Schneider, Hayes Carll, Shinyribs, Carrie Rodriguez, Nakia, and Tony Kamel of Wood and Wire. The musicians were accompanied by Graham Reynolds and his band.

Bob Schneider
Bob Schneider is an Austin-based musician who previously played with Ugly Americans and co-founded The Scabs before venturing on to a solo career. In past years he has won numerous Austin Music Awards including Band of the Year, Musician of the Year, Song and Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year.
