Tony Award-winning singer and actress Idina Menzel graced the stage of the University of Texas' Bass Concert Hall on August 1, 2015 as part of her world tour.
Although most of the world knows Menzel as the voice of Elsa the Snow Queen in Disney's blockbuster hit movie Frozen, Idina has actually been an accomplished singer and and actress on Broadway in NYC for some time.
Menzel's powerful voice earned her a Tony Award for her role as Elphaba in Wicked. She was also nominated for her role as Maureen in Rent. In 2014, Menzel was nominated for her roll in If/Then.
Idina Menzel has been called a modern day Barbra Streisand and has been compared to Diana Ross. On this night, Menzel performed a great variety of musical pieces, including her Academy Award-winning song, "Let It Go" as well as "Take Me Or Leave Me" from Rent.
