The music was as hot as the weather when country music
superstars Lady Antebellum rolled in Austin, Texas as part of their latest
tour. The multi-award winning trio performed to a packed house of country music
fans at the Austin 360 Amphitheater at Circuit of the Americas on Thursday,
July 16, 2015 as part of the Wheels Up Tour, supporting their 5th album, 747.
Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood
thrilled their audience with performances of mega-hit after mega-hit including
“Bartender,” “American Honey,” “I Run To You,” “Need You Now,” and “We Owned
The Night” as well as covers like “Walk This Way.”
Proving that their hearts are as big as their talents,
Lady Antebellum donated a portion of all ticket proceeds from this show to the
Austin Disaster Relief Network to assist those affected by the devastating
Memorial Day Floods here in Central Texas.
Sporting a slightly controversial pair of zebra print
pants, Sam Hunt opened the show for Lady A. While Sam might be a newcomer to
the country music touring circuit, he is in no way a newcomer to the music
world. He has been behind the scenes, writing hits for the likes of Kenny
Chesney, Keith Urban and Billy Currington. Hunt released his debut album in
2014. On this night, Sam performed songs like “Leave The Night On,” “Ex To
See,” “Take Your Time,” and Breakup In A Small Town.”
Next up for the evening was Hunter Hayes. Although
Hunter is only 23 years old, he has been making an impact in the country music
world for several years. The talented singer, songwriter and
multi-instrumentalist has been nominated for and/or won numerous Grammy’s, CMA’s,
AMA’s, Billboard, Teen Choice and BMI awards since his debut in 2012. Hunter
thrilled the audience with performances of “Tattoo,” “I Want Crazy,”
“Somebody’s Heartbreak,” “Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me,” and “Wanted.”
Showing his support for the local Austin community,
Hunter Hayes awarded meet and greet opportunities to fans who participated in a
blood drive before the show.
It was another great night of live country music in
the Live Music Capital of the World, Austin, Texas.
