Covering the Limelight in ATX

The 1980s were alive and well in ATX when The Book of Love brought their dance club music to 3Ten ACL Live for a show on February 23, 2019.  The synthpop, electronic band was first formed in 1983. Their biggest success came on the US dance charts between 1985 and 1993. The band released 4 albums with several of their songs being featured in movies. The Book of Love disbanded in 1994. Texas troubadour and native son Hayes Carll stopped by 3Ten ACL Live for a sold-out show on February 22, 2019. Carll is touring in support of his 6th album What It Is . The Grammy Award nominated singer, songwriter calls Austin home and can be seen at several locations performing his new music during the upcoming SXSW Music Fest held this March in Austin. The Bass Concert Hall on the University of Texas at Austin campus hosted a very special evening of talented dancers on February 20, 2019, when Dancing With The Stars Live!: A Night To Remember  took to the stage. The dance troupe from the hit ABC television series brought their usual fire and finesse to their stage as they performed several different types of dances during this spectacular presentation.
