Austin Oyster Festival

The 5th Anniversary Austin Oyster Festival took place on February 25, 2017 on the grounds of the French Legation Museum in downtown Austin.  The event benefited the Central Texas Food Bank. The event featured vendors and chefs showcasing oysters from both the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico.  Patrons could sample oysters on the half shell, grilled oysters, Oyster Po Boys, and more. In addition to the oysters, the official beverage host for the festival was Austin's own Deep Eddy Vodka. Live music for the event was provided by High Plains Jamboree, the Braun Brothers, and Chanson Et Soulards. Mardi Gras Hurrah in ATX

Mardi Gras festivities took to the streets of Austin, Texas as HONK!TX Brass Bands brought there New Orleans' style vibe to downtown on February 16, 2017.  The event was presented by Austin City Limits Live and 2nd Street District and started at Austin's newest venue, ACL's 3Ten. 3ten is located downstairs from the highly-touted Austin City Limits venue. The 350-person capacity showcase listening room presents smaller "house" shows of world-renowned, emerging, and local talent. HONK!TX is a festival of over twenty community street bands presenting free performances in streets, parks, and neighborhoods throughout Austin. The bands all have diverse backgrounds and represent various performance traditions including New Orleans second line brass, European klezmer, Balkan and Romani music, and festivals like Mardi Gras and Carnaval. Valentine's Day With Bob Schneider

Bob Schneider and The Moonlight Orchestra held their annual Valentine's Day concert on February 14, 2017, at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater. The show featured The Tosca Strings and special guests Lex Land and Jackie Venson. Bob Schneider and The Moonlight Orchestra featuring The Tosca Strings Schneider's show featured classic love songs as well as favorites from Bob's songbook.  Keeping with the Valentine's Day theme and tradition, audience members were offered red roses as they entered the venue.
