COTA Welcomes MotoGP

Austin's Circuit of the Americas racetrack welcomed motorcycle enthusiasts to the track as the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas rolled into town April 11-13, 2014. Spaniard Marc Marquez, racing for the Repsol Honda team was triumphant, despite a heart-stopping wobble in the final turn. Here are just a few shots of the action at the race track.

iHeart Radio Country Festival

The 1st ever iHeart Radio Country Festival rolled into Austin on March 29, 2014 for one extraordinary night of country music. The fest was held at the University of Texas' Frank Erwin Center. The festival was the first major event for the new partnership between clear Channel and CMT. The concert was broadcast over many of Clear Channel's radio stations as well as their iHeart Radio app and streamed on CTM.com. An impressive lineup of many of Country Music's current hit-makers entertained the sellout crowd: Eric Church, Jake Owen, Dan and Shay, Lady Antebellum, Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldine, and Luke Bryan. Each artist performed 4 to 6 of their most popular songs for the very vocal crowd of fans. Although only a select handful of photographers were able to photograph the concert for the venue and concert organizers, we were fortunate to cover the Red Carpet for the event. LeAnn Rimes appeared at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater on Friday, March 21, 2014. Ms. Rimes, who started her career in country as a child prodigy at a very young age, became the youngest person to win a Grammy, at the age of 14. Over her career, LeAnn has earned two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, and 12 Billboard Music Awards. Flogging Molly

Fronted by Irish-born lead man Dave King, Flogging Molly to the stage of Austin's Stubb's BBQ on March 21, 2014 The 7-piece American Celtic Punk band played to a packed house of fans for nearly two hours. Their 23 song set featured 3 fiddle and flute numbers, Whistles In The Wind, Life In Tenement Square, and The Rare Ould Times along with many crowd favorites. The audience was happy to sing along to the group's standard encore closer, If Ever Leave the world Alive .
