Alice in Chains was founded in 1987 by guitarist/songwriter Jerry Cantrell and vocalist Layne Staley. Other members of the original band included drummer Sean Kenny and bassist Mike Starr. Current bassist Mike Inez replaced Starr in 1993. Alice In Chains stopped performing in 1996, loosing lead vocalist Layne Staley to substance abuse in 2002.
After many years out of the spotlight, the band reunited in 2006 with William Duvall as the lead singer. Since Duvall has joined the band, Alice In Chains has released two new studio albums and has a third in the works.

Staticland
Opening the evening was blues rock Staticland.
Staticland is lead by vocalist/guitarist Jeff Angell. Joining Angell is keyboardist/bassist Benjamin Anderson and drummer Joshua Fant.
Staticland is touring in support of their first album, Jeff Angell's Staticland which was released in May.
