Cyndi Lauper Rocks Austin
The color-scheme of her music might have changed a bit with the release of her latest album, but that change didn't seem to bother fans of '80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper as they packed the house on September 10, 2016, when Lauper took to the stage of ACL - Live at the Moody Theater. Ms Lauper is touring in support of her eleventh studio album, Detour . This album is a departure from Lauper's previous musical adventures. Detour finds Lauper performing covers of classic country hits from the 40's, 50's, and 60's. The album features duets with special guests Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, and Willie Nelson. Lauper says this is the music she grew up listening to.
