The Pretenders Rock ACL Live
The Pretenders rolled into Austin for a show at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater on October 31, 2016. The Pretenders are an English/American rock band formed in England in 1978. They are lead by founding member lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Chrissie Hynde. The band released their latest album, Alone , on October 21, 2016. In addition to Hynde, the members of The Pretenders include James Walbourne - lead guitar and backing vocals, Nick Wilkinson - bass guitar, Martin Chambers - drums, backing vocals and percussion, and Eric Heywood - pedal steel. Emily Wolfe Opening for The Pretenders was Emily Wolfe. Emily is based out of Austin, Texas. She calls her kind of music "Dream Rock."
