Trash Makeover Challenge: "Party Like It's 1991"

Austin's 6th Annual Trash Makeover Challenge presented by Texas Campaign For The Environment took place on September 24, 2016, at Austin Scottish Rite Theater. This year's theme was "Party Like It's 1991."

Each designer was tasked with creating an original and unique outfit using recycled materials and reconstructed textiles; 90% of each design had to be recycled or re-used material.  In keeping with theme year of 1991, outfits were designed to fit different music genre themes including Pop/Top 100, Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B, Rock/Grunge/Alternative, Prince, or wildcard/ other category chosen by artist.

Once again this year, the designers outdid themselves with wonderful creations.
