The Queen of Soul, Ms. Aretha Franklin graced the stage of Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 for a sold out performance. Backed by a 20-piece orchestra, Ms Franklin thrilled the audience with her distinctive soulful voice. Aretha Franklin has earned basically every honor in the American music industry including 18 Grammy Awards, 5 American Music Awards, 4 NAACP Image Awards, the National Medal of Arts, and the Presidential medal of Freedom. Ms. Franklin was also the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. At 72 years young, Aretha Franklin is still going strong, touring around the country. She plans to release a new album this fall featuring "diva covers."
