Classic rock legends Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers brought their North American Tour: The Summer of Living Dangerously to the Austin360 Amphitheater at the Circuit of the Americas on May 27, 2018. Steely Dan Grammy award-winning rock band Steely Dan has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide since its founding in 1972 by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen. Although the band disbanded in 1981, fans kept the group together and the group reunited in 1993. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Sadly, Becker passed away in 2017, leaving Donald Fagen as the only original member. As the heat index soared into the low 100's, fans flocked into the Austin360 Amphitheater at the Circuit of the Americas track on June 17, 2017, for an evening of some good ol' rock and roll, when longtime fan favorites Chicago and The Doobie Brothers hit the stage to entertain the crowd. After beginning to write their own songs, the group changed their name to "Chicago Transit Authority," eventually shortening it to simply "Chicago." They are considered one of the longest-running and most successful rock groups in history. Chicago is one of the world's best-selling groups of all time, having sold over 100 million records including 23 gold, 18 platinum, and 8 multi-platinum albums.
