The Cure Plays Frank Erwin Center

On May 13, 2016, the English rock band The Cure stopped by the University of Texas' Frank Erwin Center as part of The Cure Tour 2016. This run is the first major tour of North America by the band since 2008.

The Cure's 3 hour performance included some of their massive hits, some early classics, a few rarities and even some previously unreleased tracks. In total 33 songs were performed during the set which included 4 encores.

The band members include vocalist/guitarist and founding member Robert Smith, longtime bassist Simon Gallup, former David Bowie guitarist Reeves Gabrels, keyboardist Roger O'Donnell, and drummer Jason Cooper.

The Twilight Sad

Opening for The Cure was The Twilight Sad.

The Twilight Sad is a Scottish post-punk indie rock band. Their band members include James Graham on vocals, Andy MacFarlane on guitar, and Mark Devine on drums. Touring members of the band include Johnny Docherty on bass and Brendan Smith on Keys.
