Leon Bridges Brings His Soulful Tones To Stubb's
Bringing back a style and sound sorely missing from much of today's music, Leon Bridges brought his soulful voice to Stubb's BBQ on May 19, 2016. Bridges entertained the packed crowd with the music of his debut album, Coming Home.
The young singer, songwriter from Fort Worth, Texas proudly conjures up smooth soul and gospel sounds reminiscent of the 50s and 60s when greats like Sam Cooke and Otis Redding were producing powerful hits.
Bridges' first album Coming Home was only released in June of last year and he has already made a name for himself in the music world, playing mega festivals like Austin's SXSW in 2015 and Bonnaroo in 2016. He has toured Europe and performed on the high rated Austin City Limits television show on PBS. Coming Home was also nominated for a Grammy as the Best R&B Album of 2015.
