The world famous R&B and Jazz group Earth, Wind and Fire stopped by Austin City Live at the Moody Theater on March 4, 2018, performing for an enthusiastic crowd of fans.

Earth, Wind and Fire is one of the world's top-selling musical groups of all-time. They were formed in Chicago in 1969 by Maurice White and have been entertaining crowds ever since.  Earth, Wind and Fire have released 23 albums and sold over 100 million albums worldwide.

While Earth, Wind and Fire's line up has changed over their nearly 50 years of existence, their are a few members who have been there through most of the years. Bassist Verdine White joined the group shortly after its beginning in 1970. Vocalist/kalimba player Philip Bailey and vocalist/percussionist Ralph Johnson both joined in 1972. Vocalist/percussionist B. David Whitworth joined in 1996. The groups newest members include keyboardist Myron McKinley (2001), drummer John Paris (2001), background vocalist Philiph Bailey Jr. (2008), guitarist Morris O'Connor (2008), and guitarist Serg Dimitrijevic (2012).  In addition to the band, the horn section includes saxophonist Gary Bias, trumpeter Bobby Burns, and trombonist Reggie Young.

Earth, Wind and Fire was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. They have also been awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, as well as achievement awards from ASCAP, NAACP, and BET.
