CHON hits Emo's Stage

The progressive, math rock band CHON stopped by Emo's for a show on June 28, 2017, as part of The Homey Tour in support of their second album, Homey, which was released on June 16, 2017.

CHON is made up of guitarist Mario Camarena, guitarist Erick Hansel, drummer Nathan Camarena, and bassist Esiah Camarena.

CHON started in 2008 in San Diego, CA. Math rock is a highly experimental, rhythmically complex brand of indie rock. The music CHON produces is largely instrumental, with only a few songs containing vocals.

Appearing on the ticket with CHON were Tera Melos, Covet, and Little Tybee.

Covet is a math rock group out of Florida lead by guitarist Yvette Young. Jioning Yvette are bassist David Adamiak and the band's newest addition, drummer Forrest Rice.

Little Tybee is an experimental, progressive folk-rock band from Atlanta, Ga who formed in 2009.

Members of Little Tybee include guitarist/singer-songwriter Brock Scott, guitarist Josh Martin, violinsit Nirvana Kelly, bassist Ryan Donald, drummer Pat Brooks, and keyboardist Chris Case.
