Yacht Rock Revival Rocks ACL Live

The 2016 Yacht Rock Revival tour stopped by Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater on September 18, 2016. The show featured easy listening hits from the '70s and '80s perfromed by members of the bands Ambrosia, Player,  and featuring Yacht rock Revue and special guests.



Ambrosia

First up on the evening was Ambrosia. The southern California rock band hard 5 top 40 hits between 1975 and 1980. The band includes founding members bassist/vocalist Joe Puerta, drummer Burleigh Drummond, and keyboardist/vocalist Christopher North, as well newer members guitarist/vocalist Ken Stacey, guitarist Doug Jackson, and keyboardist Mary Harris.

Yacht Rock Revue bills themselves as "the Greatest Show on Surf," performing covers of light rock hits from the '70s including music from Hall and Oates, Michael McDonald, Steely Dan, and others.
