Ben Harper Visits ACL- Live

After a very long break, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals are back together and touring in support of their newest album. The band stopped by Austin City Limits - Live at the Moody Theater on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, as part of their Call It What It Is Tour.

Call It What It Is is Ben's 13th studio album and his first with the Innocent Criminals in 8 years. On this evening Harper performed selections from his latest album and several of his past albums including Welcome To The Cruel World, The Will To Live, Lifeline, Burn To Shine, Fight For Your Mind, and Both Sides of The Gun.

Grammy Award winning artist Ben Harper doesn't like being pinned down to just one type of music. He has performed and recorded with many different artists in several different genres over the years. He has won a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Performance, Best Traditional Soul Gospel Album, and Best Blues Album.

Harper is a not only a talented singer/songwriter but he is also a very talented multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, lap-steel, keyboards, and percussion.

Performing with Harper is The Innocent Criminals. The band includes bassist Juan Nelson, percussionist Leon Mobley, drummer Oliver Charles, keyboardist Jason Yates, and guitarist Jason Mozersky.
