Classic Folk-Rock From Gordon Lightfoot



Folk-rock icon Gordon Lightfoot stopped by Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater on May 8, 2018.  The legendary singer-songwriter and musician is celebrating 50 years hit song making with a cross-country tour entitled "Gordon Lightfoot - 50 Years on the Carefree Highway."







Lightfoot has released 21 albums and written many hit songs and achieved gold and platinum status internationally. His songs have been recorded by artists like Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Judy Collins, Barbra Streisand, and many more. 







The 79 year old Canadian is still sounding great and performing his songs to fans of all ages. Over the years Lightfoot has received many awards including 16 Juno awards, 4 ASCAP awards for songwriting, and has been nominated for five Grammy Awards. In 2012, Lightfoot was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City.
