Turning Trash Into Treasures In ATX

On Saturday, September 26, 2015, Limelight Imaging was honored to attend the 5th Annual Trash Makeover Challenge presented by Texas Campaign For The Environment. The event was held at The North Door Venue and featured an array of unique and beautiful creations from some of the areas most talented fashion designers, models, makeup artists, hair stylists, and jewelry designers.

This event was held to raise funds and bring awareness to Texas Campaign For The Environment's goal of fighting pollution. Local designers were tasked with creating a stylish look while using at least 90% recycled materials. The theme for this year's show was Steampunk Meets Nature.

The designers used an array of interesting previously discarded items to produce some very impressive ensembles. If you look closely at the following photos, you will see things like pinecones, chip bags, bottle caps, leaves, plastic fencing, plastic bags, newspapers, bubble wrap, neck ties, coffee filters, and even tree limbs which have been expertly combined to make these fun outfits.

Entertainment for the evening was provided by Burgess Meredith
